Praxis Investment Management™, a company of Everence® and a leading faith-based investment manager, released its annual impact report, Real Impact Report 2025. This sixth edition highlights facts, figures, stories and examples of how stewardship investing creates real-world impact while also sharing an excerpt from the firm's research on faith-based investing published earlier last year.
"More than ever, we think it's important to leverage as many impact strategies as possible," writes Praxis President Chad Horning, CFA® in the report's introduction. "Our work in advocacy and education, corporate engagement and proxy voting help deliver change at a global level. At the same time, we touch specific communities through our impact bond and community investing strategies." The report organizes its findings around the seven distinct impact strategies that make up the Praxis ImpactX framework.
Through Values + Risk Screening, Praxis excludes 3.8-23.4% of companies in its stock indices based on ethical criteria. The firm's Proxy Voting strategy involved voting on nearly 18,000 proposals on behalf of shareholders in 2025. Sustainability Integration represents a proactive approach where Praxis doesn't just screen out companies but also invests in—or invests a higher weight into—companies that better represent its core values.
Positive Impact Bonds accounted for 35% of holdings of the diversified Praxis Impact Bond Fund invested in socially or environmentally targeted impact bonds as of Dec. 31, 2025. Company Engagement involved direct discussions with over 20 companies on subjects ranging from human rights and child labor to Creation care. Advocacy and Education efforts included participation in Freedom to Investment, which outlined why investors factor financially material considerations, including environmental and human rights impacts, into investment decisions.
Community Development Investing, achieved through partnerships with Calvert Impact and Capital Impact Partners, resulted in more than $25.8 million invested in CDI as of December 2025. "2025 was a big year for Praxis—we launched our first two ETFs and published research that proved what we know to be true: that investors want to align their faith with their values," said Mark Regier, Vice President of Stewardship Investing. "We thank everyone in the Praxis community for making real-world impact possible as we invest together."
The report's release comes as faith-based investing gains prominence in financial markets, demonstrating that ethical considerations can coexist with investment performance objectives. Praxis's comprehensive approach shows how targeted investment strategies can address specific social and environmental concerns while maintaining financial discipline. The firm's methodology provides a model for how investment managers can integrate values-based criteria across multiple asset classes and investment vehicles.
