OLB Completes Management Board Appointments to Drive Next Phase of Development

Oldenburgische Landesbank AG (OLB) has completed the previously announced reconstitution of its Management Board, effective 1 October 2026. The appointments, made by the Supervisory Board in coordination with supervisory authorities, install a leadership team that the bank says is ideally positioned for its next phase of development. The move matters because OLB, now a significant financial institution directly supervised by the European Central Bank and part of the cooperative Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale since January 2026, is signaling continuity and stability as it integrates into one of Europe’s largest banking groups.

Michael Fust has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Dr Rainer Polster, who left upon the expiry of his mandate on 30 September 2026. Fust had served as General Representative since January 2026, reporting to Polster. He joined TARGO Deutschland GmbH in July 2016 as Head of Finance after around 16 years with KPMG. Annett Daldrup becomes Chief Risk Officer, having acted as General Representative since July 2026 and as General Representative of TARGO Deutschland GmbH since March 2026. She joined TARGOBANK in January 2025 as Chief Credit Officer Corporate Lending, with prior roles at Airbus Bank GmbH and UniCredit Bank AG. Chris Eggert, previously Chief Risk Officer, assumes the role of Chief Investment Officer, responsible for cash flow-based financing within the Corporates & Diversified Lending segment, including Corporates, Acquisition Finance, Football Finance, Fund Finance, Export Finance, and Financing Solutions. Eggert, who has headed Credit Risk Management since 2018 and was appointed CRO in June 2022, is expected to drive expansion of this business.

The new Management Board comprises Christophe Jehan (CEO), Annett Daldrup (CRO), Chris Eggert (CIO), Michael Fust (CFO), and Dr Andreas Houben (Chief Sales Officer). Christian Bessenroth, a General Representative since April 2026, completes the Management Team, overseeing asset-based financing (Commercial Real Estate, International Diversified Lending, Shipping, Renewables) and reporting to Eggert. “With its proven leadership and complementary areas of expertise, OLB’s Management Team is ideally positioned to lead the Bank into its next phase of development,” said Isabelle Chevelard, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board.

The implications are significant for OLB’s roughly 1,700 employees and one million customers across its OLB and Bankhaus Neelmeyer brands. With total assets exceeding EUR 30 billion, a network of 80 branches, and more than 150 years of history in north-west Germany, the bank operates in two strategic areas: Private & Business Customers and Corporates & Diversified Lending. The appointments bring together executives with deep experience from TARGOBANK, KPMG, Airbus Bank, and UniCredit, aligning OLB’s leadership with its parent group’s cooperative model. This integration under the ECB’s direct supervision since early 2025 and Crédit Mutuel’s ownership since January 2026 could strengthen OLB’s competitive position in Germany.
