The ProMedia Group Hires Troy Fernandez as Project Manager to Support National Expansion

The ProMedia Group (PMG), a Florida audiovisual and technology integration solutions provider, has announced the addition of Troy Fernandez as Project Manager. Fernandez brings more than two decades of global program and project leadership experience, having managed large-scale design and construction initiatives across multiple continents. His portfolio spans residential, commercial, and industrial environments, positioning him as a strong asset as PMG expands its national footprint.

Prior to joining PMG, Fernandez held leadership roles at Watchtower in Tuxedo Park, New York, most recently serving as Program Manager where he oversaw a global portfolio of active projects across 30 international offices. As Global Design Director, he led the development of design standards across 84 international branches while mentoring high-performing teams. Earlier in his career, he managed multi-site projects throughout the Americas and contributed to major infrastructure projects during 15 years with AECOM in New York, including work with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the Transportation Security Administration, and the World Trade Center PATH Terminal.

Fernandez was drawn to PMG by the opportunity to expand into new types of facilities and technologies, particularly in the sports and stadium space. “I’ve spent my career managing residential and commercial work, but this is a chance to be part of something different — to get more hands-on and be on the other side of the process, especially in AV and broadcast environments,” he said. His approach to project delivery is rooted in collaboration, emphasizing surrounding oneself with qualified people, working as a team, and keeping everyone aligned toward the end goal.

With a strong background in design and construction, Fernandez understands how to bridge gaps between teams and keep projects moving efficiently. “I’ve been in their shoes before, so I know how to work alongside designers and help keep everything on track,” he said. His leadership philosophy emphasizes planning, adaptability, and transparency, noting the need for a solid plan but also flexibility when things change.

In his new role at PMG, Fernandez will oversee AV integration projects from design through installation, supporting PMG’s continued expansion. “Clients need to feel heard and informed at every stage,” he said. “Being proactive — even when challenges come up — builds trust and leads to better outcomes.” Ken Avis, CEO of The ProMedia Group, commented: “Adding someone with this level of global experience and leadership strengthens our ability to deliver exceptional results for our clients. His expertise in managing complex, multi-site projects aligns perfectly with our commitment to excellence and continued growth.”

The addition of Troy Fernandez reflects PMG’s ongoing investment in top-tier talent as the company continues to grow its services and geographic reach. PMG is an award-winning audiovisual design-build integrator headquartered in Tampa, Florida, providing tailored AV solutions for commercial clients across healthcare, education, corporate, and government sectors.
