The hep global Group has announced a significant restructuring of its management team, effective immediately. Martin Vogt, age 44, has taken over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), succeeding company founder Christian Hamann, who stepped down from the CEO role at his own request after nearly 17 years. Hamann will remain with the management team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a position he has already held since May 2026. This carefully prepared succession plan underscores hep global's commitment to continuity in corporate leadership and a clear distribution of management responsibilities.
Martin Vogt has been with the hep global Group since early 2024, most recently serving as Chief Project Officer, where he oversaw global project development. In that role, he played a key part in the strategic and operational advancement of the company's project business. As CEO, Vogt will lead the company into its next phase of development, supported by Hamann as CFO and Georg von Eichendorff Strachwitz, who has served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) since 2021.
“I am very grateful for the trust of our employees, customers, and partners over the past 17 years,” said Christian Hamann. “As an international developer of solar energy projects, we have made a significant contribution to the energy transition since our founding. Martin Vogt is a leader who knows our company, our markets, and our strategic priorities very well. At the same time, I will remain closely connected to hep global as CFO and will focus on the company’s financial management. This allows us to establish clear lines of responsibility while ensuring continuity in corporate leadership.”
Vogt expressed his gratitude to the founders and shareholders for their trust and contributions. “hep global has many years of experience in the international development of solar energy projects and an established platform in our core markets,” he said. “In recent years, we have consistently adapted our organizational and cost structures to changing market conditions. In doing so, we have laid the groundwork for the next phase of development. Our focus remains clear: We want to further strengthen our position as a reliable partner for the development of solar and battery storage projects. To this end, we are committed to continuity in our strategy and management, a focus on our core European markets, and targeted new growth initiatives.”
The leadership change comes at a critical time for the renewable energy sector, as demand for solar projects and battery energy storage systems (BESS) continues to rise globally. hep global, an owner-managed company from Baden-Württemberg, Germany, has been developing and planning renewable energy projects for more than 15 years, primarily in Europe, Japan, and North America. Its strategic focus on greenfield developments and the integration of BESS positions it well to capitalize on the energy transition.
With around 120 employees worldwide and subsidiaries in Germany, Italy, Poland, the USA, Canada, and Japan, hep global is poised to strengthen its market position under Vogt's leadership. The transition ensures that Hamann's financial expertise remains within the company, providing stability as Vogt pursues targeted growth initiatives. This blend of continuity and fresh leadership may enhance investor confidence and support the company's expansion in core markets.
