LOS ANGELES, CA — On Tuesday evening, the Church of Scientology Los Angeles opened its doors to the East Hollywood community for a National Night Out celebration, joining thousands of neighborhoods across the nation in an annual effort to strengthen community ties and promote public safety. This nationwide initiative, supported by approximately 16,000 communities, aims to enhance camaraderie among residents, foster partnerships with first responders, and encourage active community involvement to create safer, more connected neighborhoods.

The event at the Church of Scientology Los Angeles featured a family-friendly atmosphere with activities for all ages. Children enjoyed carnival games, a bouncy house, face painting, popcorn, cotton candy, and a water slide, while parents and neighbors had the chance to mingle and build lasting relationships. The celebration commenced with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by a special recognition ceremony for firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department Station 35. The firefighters were presented with a Certificate of Recognition in appreciation of their dedication and service to the city's residents.

"National Night Out is a reminder that strong communities are built through cooperation, mutual support and shared responsibility," said a representative of the Church of Scientology Los Angeles. "Bringing families, neighbors and community organizations together helps create the kind of environment where people feel connected, supported and empowered to improve conditions in their community."

The afternoon was filled with an atmosphere of friendship and community spirit, reflecting the core purpose of National Night Out: uniting people to build trust, strengthen local relationships, and foster a greater sense of neighborhood pride. This event underscores the Church's commitment to serving as a community hub, hosting numerous activities throughout the year, including Easter celebrations, Fourth of July festivities, Halloween events, Día de los Muertos observances, the Holiday Lights Lighting Ceremony, and the popular Candy Cane Lane just before Christmas.

The Church of Scientology Los Angeles, located at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and L. Ron Hubbard Way, is featured in the Scientology Network series "Inside a Church of Scientology," which was launched by ecclesiastical leader Mr. David Miscavige in 2018 to commemorate L. Ron Hubbard's birthday. As an Ideal Scientology Organization, the Church is designed to serve not only Scientologists on their spiritual path but also to function as a resource for the wider community—a place where people of all faiths can collaborate on initiatives that benefit the greater Los Angeles area.
